You're the first person I ever saw breastfeed, if I remember correctly! LOL

I was talking about this with Teddi today who is thinking about breastfeeding right now for obvious reasons. She told me about a photograph she saw of two mall cops looming over a woman who was trying to feed her baby attempting to remove her from the mall for being indecent, while directly behind her there is an absolutely gigantic poster of a Victoria's Secret model with her boobs on display. Oh, the irony!Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05859075229519368228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3441037586839214871.post-74689782883005497712012-09-27T11:35:33.253-04:002012-09-27T11:35:33.253-04:00I think you are entirely correct.
But an interest...I think you are entirely correct.

But an interesting biological aside; one biological purpose of a human woman's breasts is indeed frequently theorized to be titillation. Other mammals have barely visible breasts unless they are in oestrus or lactating. Much more convenient for running around. Human female breasts are extremely unusual in the animal kingdom because they are always swollen; biologists theorize that the purpose is to make her look like she's always in season. And the point of that would be to help keep a mate around to help in the extremely slow and difficult process of human childrearing.Charlesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3441037586839214871.post-70644795324029558132012-09-27T10:53:11.066-04:002012-09-27T10:53:11.066-04:00One of my greatest pleasures and joys were when I ...One of my greatest pleasures and joys were when I was nursing my babies. I felt such closeness and contentment knowing that my body was proving for their sustenance. I nursed Amanda longer than I did Megan and Tonya, but I loved being able to care for all of them that way.

That said I admit it was much easier with Amanda, though she was one of those babies that did NOT want to be undercover. I was able to nurse with hardly showing and was as discrete as possible.

Unfortunately Megan and Tonya were a bit different, they always wanted to eat at the same time making it IMPOSSIBLE to be discrete. Twins are tricky in EVERY aspect of childcare.

I believe a woman should not have to hide or be made to feel uncomfortable about caring for her child. This is how we were made and it is an absolute miracle to be cherished. Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18178493237760630982noreply@blogger.com
